Profile – Kristen Huang

Kristen is an MSc student in Cell and Systems Biology at the University of Toronto Mississauga. She earned her HBSc at University of Ottawa in Biomedical Sciences. During her undergrad, Kristen studied the serotonergic system of zebrafish for her honour’s thesis while she also spent time volunteering in a lab focused on bees, which sparked her interest in nature conservation and plant physiology. In the lab, Kristen studies sun-induced fluorescence and gross primary productivity responses to stress. Outside of the lab she enjoys exploring trails to wander and watching movies.
